GTA West Corridor study

The Ministry of Transportation has been looking for solutions to move people and goods throughout the GTA. This proposed project is an 8 lane highway between Brampton and Milton, cutting through our town, which would have negative impact on our rural residents and our farming community. This project would place a lot of pressure to urbanize the area around the highway, thus creating another Georgetown South area, loosing the rural nature and character of our town.

As your ward 2 councillor I will:

 Listen to your concerns and bring them forth to council

 Ensure that the solution selected dose not interfere with the rural nature & character of our town

 Ensure that our farming industry remains viable & sustainable.

 Propose alternate solutions to limit the urbanization in our rural areas.

Vision a 'nightmare' | ‘Preferred’ new highway would be ‘devastating’ to town
